Directions to Villa Michalis, Sissi from Heraklion airport.
When leaving the airport you drive in the direction of Aghios Nikolaos (Malia and/or Sissi/Milatos are also signposted en route). You can take either the New National Road or the old National Road, both will get you to Milatos.
If you take the New National Road (advisable) drive it all the way through, it will take you to Stalis. Take a right here (no signs are indicated). Drive through Malia and after aprox 2 km you will come to a sign on the left saying Sissi (if you pass a BP station on the right, you’ve come too far so turn around and then take the first right).
Follow this road (aprox ½ km) until you see a sign on the left to Sissi. Turn left and take the first road on the right to Milatos. (Minos Imperial). Follow the road for another 1.5km (you will pass a gas station, an old bus as form of ‘art’ on the top of the hill and an old stone house on the left). At Epano Sissi centre, you will see two small tavernas on the corner, turn left and after 200metres you will find Villa Michalis situated on the left.
The journey takes approx. 45min.
The same applies for the Old National Road only you will then pass through the villages of Kokkini Hani, Gournes, Gouves, Chersonissos and Stalis before coming to Malia.
